# Rara
The content of this piece is a retrospective path of the photographer's intimacy. One in which women turn, through experiences of rejection and exclusion into revindicating icons. Experiences lived first handed by the artist are now shown in her work. In her pieces splashed with naivety, we discover a variety of women. M van Koekje shares a strange "rara" sample that will provoke the viewer.

# Girls by girl
Girls, by Girl is a small piece from my endless photo diary, taken entirely using analogic photography.
A collection composed of 20 pictures 35mm which are focused on the feminine figure in different moments and situations.
The set tries to convey a feeling of sisterhood and the links that are created between the photographer and the model, in a relaxed environment and without any restrictions.
We live in a world in which everybody can take pictures of themselves. The excessive preoccupation with our image together with the overexploitation of the feminine image is why the focus is on youth, women, and attitude. I take from the big screen and the megapixels so I can portray it most genuinely in a negative. Without any edition or retouching, without lies or modesty.

Photography is my passion, my lost love, and the way I communicate with people.
I started this little photo diary some years ago and it is only composed of 35mm analogic pictures. It is my diary, homes, and people that have now faded into the past, magic, hard times, happy moments...
As everything changes, I try to stop time and keep the memories stored in a trunk, keep everything as it was, and then try to revive it.
This is just a small piece from the entire work of the photo-diary, you can watch it fully here. No lies, no fakeness, just sticking to the truth. This is my photo diary 2011-2017
